Sales of cars in the U.S. will drop in September by 19%

Sales of cars in the U.S. will fall in September by 19% compared to the same period last year, leads the agency Bloomberg words head of Chrysler Group sales Peter Phone.

Sales of most Chrysler Group, owned by Italian carmakers Fiat, fall in September by 30% compared to September last year, writes The Wall Street Journal, citing a study IHS Global Insight.

The number of sold cars, Toyota Motor Corp. reduced by 15%, according to Global Insight.

Falling sales in the U.S., as analysts believe, is directly connected with the end of the Government's share of old cars on the new ( "cash-for-clunkers") on August 24.

In addition, a negative impact on sales of companies lack the number of cars in the warehouses. So dealers Chrysler is currently about 83 thousand vehicles, which is only a quarter of the stock last year.

Commenting on these data, P. von noted that "it is the smallest figure that anyone can remember."

Number of vehicles in Chrysler stock fell because of the reorganization after the bankruptcy and idle plants in the summer.

We have expanded production, stocks will recover, and grow sales in October, I'm sure P. von.

However, the prospects of the company remain vague, according to The Wall Street Journal.

In particular, states that after the Chrysler came under the management of Daimler AG, it is largely lost the ability to self-development model series. In addition, financial and institutional constraints have forced many engineers to leave the company.

Currently, Chrysler is developing a new strategy for development cooperation with Fiat. In particular, previously reported that at the Chrysler plant in Mexico will probably be running the production of baby Fiat 500 subcompact. Also discussed and the creation of new sedans with engines of medium volume.

Chrysler shows not very reliable results - especially against the background of General Motors, which also went through bankruptcy proceedings under state control. GM has already introduced a new model of hybrid car Volt, as well as considering the creation of new small cars under the brand Cadillac and Buick.
