Volvo recalls 26 thousand cars

Volvo is recalling 26 thousand vehicles worldwide. This measure was motivated by the discovery of defects in motor control units - because of this defect, the motor may not start or get stuck after a car will travel several hundred meters, reports AFP referring to the announcement by the company Volvo Mary Bolin.

Comments are subject to models S80, V70, XC60, XC70 and S80L (sold only in China), equipped with six-cylinder petrol turbo engine. According to Bolin, nearly half of all defective vehicles - about 12 thousand units - is in the U.S. and the rest were sold on the European market.

According to media in Russia is 461 machine with this malfunction.

All owners of defective vehicles will receive a letter with the proposal to visit the service station for free reprogrammed engine control unit.
